Frequently asked questions
I have never played cricket before. Can I join as a beginner?
Yes of course. Our club’s aim is to help develop new players in the Czech Republic. We like to encourage newcomers young or old – everyone is welcome regardless of age/nationality etc.
I would like to play cricket. How do I start?
Just turn up. Come along to a training session or if you prefer just start by coming to watch us play a match, we play often throughout the summer (see fixtures page)
Do I have to become a member?
If you want to play regularly, then you should although you will not be forced to. It is possible to join in as a guest but we always give priority to those who have paid membership. The money we collect through this is needed to keep the club going and cover our costs.
Where is PCC’s ground?
Currently we play in Vinor which is around 15 minutes by bus from Letnany metro station, see page “our ground”
What is the standard of cricket?
We have players with a wide range of experience and abilities. We are comparable to an average non-league UK side.
Can I bring my team on tour to Prague?
We host many touring teams every year. Fixtures are arranged from December onwards each year for the following season. If you would like to play against PCC in Prague, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org towards the end of the calendar year to discuss options.
Do I need my own cricket equipment?
Many regular players have their own personal gear, however we have all necessary equipment which all members can use. So you do not need any of your own.
